Walkie Talkies have been a staple item with hunters and outdoors people since they were invented. Even as cell services areas and WiFi hot spots are ever expanding, there are still plenty of dead zones. The main cool and techy feature on these Radios is the app that comes with it. You can connect to your smartphone to the radio over Bluetooth, send messages, download maps, control the radio settings( including selecting channels, call tones, adjusting weather alerts as well as on/off settings) all without cell phone coverage. There are plenty of other great features worth checking out, especially when one of these costs just above $100!

Considering all the features of the T800 in combination with the TALKABOUT App, there is not a better FRS radio on the market. The MSRP of $109.99 (less $$ online) is very reasonable for what these radios can do, and of course, the TALKABOUT App is free.
